Manila, Philippines- May forever! ABS-CBN's top-rating TV series 'Forevermore' bid farewell last May 22, 2015. Almost everyone had their eyes glued to the screen as they tuned in for the 35-minute finale of the show.
It was definitely a cliche' ending to say the least but who cares we still loved it! Although some viewers felt that the ending was a little bit rushed they still enjoyed every moment of it anyways.
Deviating from the typical Pinoy teleserye ending (an elaborate wedding scene), 'Forevermore' ended with a heart-felt marriage proposal at the place to where it all began, Sitio La Presa.
Cathy Garcia-Molina's trademark rainy romantic scenes worked it's magic yet again, with Xander making his timely proposal to Agnes while soaking wet. And who can forget the nose-to-nose "Kilig" scene afterwards.
Here's some of the most notable lines from Forevermore's Finale:
Xander to Agnes: "This time, I will not commit the same mistake again. This time, maghihintay na 'ko, even if it takes forever. Maghihintay ako. Agnes, time may stop, the world may come to an end, pero hinding hindi ako titigil na mahalin ka."
Agnes: "Mahal din kita, pero 'wag ka nang OA dyan."
Xander: "Tapos na ko sa promises promises na yan. Hindi na rin ako naniniwala sa kapal ng strawberry. The only thing I believe in now is us."
(Xander kneels)
Xander: "Since forever na tayo, dito na ko magtatanong, kung saan humahalik ang langit sa lupa. Ma. Agnes Calay, ang Reyna ng Strawberry Jam at ang pinakamagandang kulot sa balat ng lupa, will you marry me?"
(Agnes speechless, just smiling.)
Xander: "O, dapat sinasabi mo...na..."
Agnes: "Alam ko ang sasabihin ko Mr. Alexander Grande III. 'Wag mo ko pangunahan ah.. YES!"
Xander: "Mahal na mahal kita Agnes. My love for you..."
Agnes: "...will be forevermore."
It's time to say farewell to "Forevermore" and say hello to "Pangako Sa 'Yo", which takes over Forevermore's evening timeslot starting Monday, May 25, 2015. The new TV series stars Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Ian Veneracion, Angelica Panganiban and Jodi Sta. Maria.
