Breaking: Apple iOS 8 Revealed and Key Features Review

After months of endless speculations about the new iOS 8 Apple CEO Tim Cook finally put it to rest by pulling back the curtain on the new iOS 8 during the Apple's WWDC 2014 keynote in San Francisco. Although it's not a big leap like iOS 7 was before, but Apple's CEO assures us that its gonna have some new awesome interactions with the newer version of OS X. Apple's WWDC 2014 keynote just wrapped up and now it's time for us to discuss the all the new key features of iOS 8. The new iOS will be a free update this coming fall starting with the iPhone 4s until the latest version ,the 5th-gen iPod Touch and the iPad 2 to the latest version of the iPad. Good news if you're a developer though you can now try out the brand new iOS 8 beta and it's SDK today as I speak.

Here's the list of all the new key features of iOS 8 that's highlighted at the keynote:

iOS 8 Interactive Notifications

Interactive Notifications - With Interactive Notifications you can pull down from that notification shade and respond from right there without leaving the app thus improving multitasking capabilities. The interactive notification is not limited with only messages you'll also be able to like or comment on Facebook messages or even handle your calendar events. 

iOS 8 Improved E-mail

Improved E-mail - Apple significantly improved it's email app too by introducing some neat gestures. A quick swipe on the contents of your inbox reveals a menu which you can tag or dismiss emails without even having to open them up.

iOS 8 Spotlight

Spotlight - The all new spotlight has been improved quite significantly you can now search for apps you haven't even installed yet, songs in the iTunes store, movie times/locations and more. You can also search for directions to locations pretty handy indeed.

iOS 8 Quicktype

Quicktype- Apple's improved on screen keyboard upgraded their recognition service and can now accurately predict what you're going to say.

iOS 8 Improved iMessage

Improved iMessage - With the all new iMessage you can now respond to one of those audio messages right from the lock screen if you just raise your iPhone to your face. Adding more multitasking functionality. The new iMessage even has Snapchat features, you can set a particular message to self-destruct at a particular time.

iOS 8 Continuity

 Continuity - Apple adding another very functional feature to the latest iteration of iOS 8 it's the integragtion between iOS 8 and OS X. Now you can now able to initiate and pick calls direct from OS X even if your iPhone is in the other part of your home, You can also use your Mac as a speaker phone as well. One other feature is you can now relay text messages to other iDevices if your non-apple friends texted you.

HEALTHKIT AND THE HEALTH APP

iOS 8 Health Kit and App

 Health Kit and App - is a one-stop shop for all the health data that gets collected from all the tracking apps on your phone. It uses this data to assess and give suggestions to what health tips and tricks in real-time.

iOS 8 Family Sharing

 Family Sharing - the new Family Sharing push can share a single calendar, plus app and content purchases though it has a limit of 6 people per apple ID. If you're a parent and your little toddler has a knack of buying things from AppStore with your credit card, well, never fear. Once connected, you'll get a notification each time your little ones are trying to buy an app.

iOS 8 iCloud Photo Library

 iCloud Photo Library -It's a unified photo library of your most special moments. You can now edit a photo from a single device and see the change from every other devices.

iOS 8 Smarter Siri

 Smarter Siri - You can now get her attention by saying "Hey, Siri," In case you heard a song that you haven't heard before Siri can now listen to it and Identify it and In case you found the track you like you can download it straight from Siri's results page as well.

iOS 8 Developer Options

More Developer Options - Developers have the ability to build apps that communicate with other apps, for one. Consider the camera, for example. You'll be able to apply Camera  filters to your shots without having to leave the stock camera app. Developers can also create attractive widgets that live in your notification center. Lastly You can now install 3rd party keyboards. Soon you will have an option to install 3rd party keyboard.
