Bagyong Luis news update as of 5:00 am today September 14, 2014. Tropical Depression Luis has now entered the PAR and is now a Typhoon according to the reports of the weather bureau PAGASA.
At 4:00 am today, Typhoon "LUIS" was located based on all available data at 266 km North Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or at 347 km East Southeast of Casiguran, Aurora (15.8ºN, 125.3ºE) with maximum winds of 120 kph and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 20 kph.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and the provinces of Aurora, Ilocos and La Union will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Polillo Island, Tarlac and Catanduanes will have rains with gusty winds. Bicol Region, the rest of Central Luzon and the province of Quezon will be cloudy with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flasfloods and landslides.
