Filipina Actress Kim Chiu To Portray Disney's Mulan

Manila Philippines - Recently, Kim Chiu was rumored to portray the role of Mulan for the upcoming Disney Calendar on 2015, yet neither Kim Chiu nor’ the Walt Disney Company supplied an announcement confirming or denying the report.

Yet, the conjectures and rumors about “Kim Chiu” to portray the role of Mulan for the upcoming Disney Calendar 2015 featuring various Disney characters were all over when the Walt Disney Southeast Asia Company confirmed the fact that Kim Chiu played the role of ‘Mulan’ and has finished the pictorial recently in abroad.

“We confirm that Kim Chiu is part of an upcoming Disney project in Southeast Asia. We will share more details on this in the coming months” - Official Statement from Walt Disney Southeast Asia

After the official announcement of Kim Chiu taking the part of Mulan, the kapamilya actress confirmed that she indeed suited up as the Disney Princess, including her pink popular hanfu and her chinese army gear which she used as disguise.

Surprisingly, Kim Chiu also shared what she felt when the offer was given to her,

“Nung in-offer sa akin, nakakatuwa na nakakaiyak. Totoo ba na gagawin niyo akong Mulan?”

“Achievement ko siya sa buhay, childhood dream ko maging isa sa mga Disney Princess!”

Disney keeps the surprise, for not releasing any further details about the calendar including the other Disney characters will be featured to be announced.
