Manila, Philippines- Filipino's are known to be resilient in any kind of sport they pursue despite the lack of support from the government. But during this ongoing SEA GAMES 2015 at Singapore, two of our Filipino divers got zero points during the Men’s final diving competition last Sunday, June 7, 2015.

VIDEO: Filipino Divers Scores ZERO points During the 2015 SEA GAMES Men's Final Diving Competition

As you can see on the video below, John Elmerson Fabriga and John David Pahoyo from the Philippines showed very poor performance at Aquatics Diving 3-meter (Finals). Fabriga can be seen diving first from the spring board doing the summersault but eventually landed on the water with his back. That hurts!

Shortly after, Pahoyo made his turn but landed on his feet first. It is quite obvious that both Pinoy athletes failed to attain sufficient altitude after they launch from the spring board. Although Pahoyo seems to be calm, you will notice that Fabriga looks awkward right after his launch. Both of them earned a zero score each.

The video of the mishap was first posted at SGAG Facebook page with the caption, “Friends do not let friends do silly things alone… in this case getting ZERO POINTS for Diving at SEA GAMES 2015! HAHAHAHAH!” It earned tons of insulting comments, although some commentators said it is not funny at all.

For the said event, Fabriga and Pahoyo ranked 7th and 8th place, respectively. Malaysia won the gold medal; Indonesia won the silver, while Singapore won the bronze medal. Nonetheless, John David Pahoyo explained on how they practiced for the SEA Games 2015, along with a video of their practice.

“Yey! I’m so proud of us pakner John Fabriga, we really did our best despite of we just practiced this synchro dives for just 4 days, even though we failed to win, but atleast we did overcame what we once knew was out limit, and that makes us a champion.” Pahoyo wrote, who also thanked their coach, Brian Palattao.

Don't worry guys we are still proud of you. Cheers!
