Benguet, Philippines- At least two people were reported killed in a landslide that hit a part of Kennon Road in Benguet on Monday, police said.
Baguio City police head Senior Superintendent Rolando Miranda told dzBB radio this was the gist of initial information reaching him.

Miranda said the two killed were women. Three were injured, one of whom has a broken leg.
Chief Supt. Isagani Nerez earlier said four persons were rushed to the hospital following the landslide on Kennon Road.
Two vehicles were affected by the landslide. They are a private white Toyota 4D van with plate number AAK-9898 and a public utility jeep with plate number AYK-824. Both vehicles were damaged, Nerez said.

The landslide occurred along Wabac, Kennon Road, Camp 7 in Baguio City, Nerez added.
Miranda also said Kennon Road has been closed to motorists for now.
Several motorists use Kennon Road to travel between Metro Manila and Baguio City.
