Adorable Baby Boy Born With An Oddly Shaped Head Captures The Hearts Of Many

One of every expectant parent’s worst fears is perhaps delivering a baby with physical deformities. Considered by some couples as a worst nightmare, this was certainly no easy news to hear for Brandon and Brittany Buell, who found out about their troubling pregnancy with Jaxon “Strong” Buell last year.

They share that soon after the good news came about their pregnancy, they also got another call from their doctor, who was rather concerned about the shape and formation of the baby’s head. As new parents, you could imagine the horror that came with hearing such news when you haven’t even had enough time to wrap your mind around to the reality of having an infant growing inside of you.

To add insult to injury, as one of the options presented by the doctors to the Buell family was to consider having the pregnancy terminated. While this is a tricky and controversial subject, some hospitals do give this difficult yet pressing choice to the pregnant couples, as some might have reservations about the health risks that come with raising babies with physical abnormalities. The Buell couple felt somewhat offended that this option was presented to them even before an official diagnosis came. Among the options presented them was to consult with therapists and specialists on genetic counseling.

Brittany says, “I was irritated.” After their consultation with the genetic therapist, the couple began talking and mutually agreed to have and raise the baby. When their news leaked, the internet brought them a lot of sympathy and support, applauding their strength and bravery to bring precious baby Jaxon into the world.
