But sometimes, history could not be as like what we've imagined. Historian Ambeth Ocampo shared some photos on his facebook page.
These photos are photos of Dr. Jose Rizal, Juan Luna, Trinidad H. Pardo de Taverna and Felix Resurrection Hidalgo who seems to have some drinks. The picture of the drunken Philippine National Heroes has gone viral throughout the social media sites.
According to Roberto Martin Sing who originally posted the pictures, the pictures are originally from the photo file of the pre-war Rizalist and collector Alfonso Ongpin. According also to him the photo was taken from Paris and the unidentified man standing behind their back is the waiter.
The said picture was never published into textbooks because of their unheroic images for the educators. Sometimes we tend to forget that they are alao humans that could do crazy things. The one on the floor is Pardo de Tavera who is unconscious, Rizal was about to hurl an apple on the haples Trinidad.
